Carpet is a key decorative and functional element in a home or business. It is one of the most common floor coverings available on the market today

Why Carpet?

Carpet provides an added measure of warmth and insulation with its millions of fibers and places between them to hold warmth and insulate against extreme heat or cold. It’s warmer to sit on or work on, providing more stable temperatures for foot and leg comfort near the floor.

Because carpet is a foundation of decorating, covering the floor surface of our living spaces, it is an important consideration of colour and texture. It can provide simplicity and casualness, liveablilty; or it can provide pizzazz with vibrant colour and make a decorating “statement”.

Carpet styles include Berber, Frieze, Saxony, Sisal, Velvets, Textured, Cut Pile, Level Loop and Multi Level Loop.

Carpet pad is rated by two variables. First by the thickness; in most cases, anything thicker than 1/2″ will void warranties due to compromised carpet performance created by a pad that is too thick. Second by the weight of the pad, which is based upon how many pounds of material are used in a cubic foot. The heavier the weight, the denser the pad, and pad density is a key ingredient in carpet performance. A good quality pad will be rated at 6 or 7 pounds.
